Steven Broomhead

Steven BroomheadProfessor Steven Broomhead is non-executive Chairman of Recycling Lives Ltd, the award-winning recycling business and charity.  He is the nominated representative of the Central and West Lancaster Chamber of Commerce on the LEP Board. He has a particular focus on the development and growth of small to medium businesses, social enterprises, the wider skills and training agendas and improvements to transport and infrastructure.

Steven was Chief Executive of the North West Development Agency from 2003 to 2011 and is a governor of UCLan.  In 2011 he was appointed as the Professor of Entrepreneurial Education / Chief Director of Advancement at Liverpool Hope University.  In addition he holds other roles in the private sector.  He is the Chairman of Warrington Wolves Rugby League Club and is also Chairman of Chester Renaissance, the regeneration organisation for Chester city.  His other interests include being the Chairman of the North West Waterways Partnership for Lancaster and honorary President of the Ormskirk, Preston, Southport, Travellers Association (OPSTA) which supports the local community railway infrastructure.
