Mike Tynan

Mike Tynan Mike Tynan was appointed Vice President for Westinghouse in 2005 and serves as Chief Executive for Westinghouse UK Limited.

Mike has led the integration of Westinghouse business interests for New Nuclear Plant, Fuel and Services in the UK, including leadership of the Generic Design Assessment (GDA) effort for the Westinghouse AP1000 Reactor in the UK.

He is widely recognised as a change leader and has been at the forefront of major developments in the UK Nuclear Industry, including the foundation of Site License Companies for the Nuclear Decommissioning and the restructuring of Westinghouse business to focus on Customer intimacy.

Mike is dedicated to the development of people within the industry to ensure a vibrant future for civil nuclear power in the UK and serves as a Director of the UK’s National Skills Academy for Nuclear, the University of Central Lancashire, Wigan University Technical College, and the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership.
