Skills & Employment

Creating sustainable skills and employment to drive prosperity is key to Lancashire's future – and to ensure this happens we have created a Skills and Employment Board.

Skills and Employment Board

The Skills and Employment Board's primary responsibility is to consider skills development priorities within the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership (which covers Lancashire County, Blackburn with Darwen and Blackpool).

Skills and Employment Hub

The Skills and Employment Hub is a strategic unit which supports the Skills and Employment Board to discharge its duties set out above and in doing so facilitate/enable a balanced, skilled and inclusive labour market which underpins and contributes to economic well-being and growth across the LEP.

The Skills and Employment Hub has commissioned a range of research on behalf of the Board that has built up the evidence base.

The Skills and Employment Hub has used the evidence base to develop a Lancashire Skills and Employment Strategic Framework.
